The pepper plant is a perennial woody vine growing up to 4 m (13 ft) in height on supporting trees, poles, or trellises. It is a spreading vine, rooting readily where trailing stems touch the ground.
Black Pepper essential oil smells crisp, fresh and somewhat peppery.
Method of extraction
There are 700 hundred different species of pepper in the world. It’s valued not only as a flavoring agent in our meals, but also for a variety of other purposes, such as medicinal uses, as a preservative and in perfumery.
